Is NorthStone Country Club public or private?

NorthStone Country Club is a totally private facility with a slightly different financial structure than most traditional private clubs. NorthStone has no initiation fees, no monthly spending minimums and no assessments. Some categories allow dues to be paid annually, quarterly or monthly. "Full" Members also have access to the other area clubs through reciprocal agreements with NorthStone.

Can a non-member use the Club facilities?

All guests at NorthStone must be sponsored, and in most instances accompanied, by a NorthStone Member. Guests are required to pay applicable guest fees and will be allowed to use the Club with few restrictions. As the NorthStone membership grows, guests will be increasingly restricted to accommodate Member access to the facilities.

Must you live within the NorthStone development to become a Member of the Club?

Absolutely not, NorthStone Country Club will actively sell memberships to non-NorthStone residents.

Are memberships transferable or refundable?

NorthStone Country Club annual memberships are not transferable or refundable. Corporate Members may change the company designee annually at their renewal date without a designee transfer fee.

Will there be a specific limit on the number of memberships sold?

Eventually, NorthStone Country Club will establish a waitlist. Our criteria for the number of memberships sold will be based on activity levels rather than on a fixed number of Members. We monitor the number of rounds of golf, dining room visits, pool patrons, etc. and the level of access along with wear and tear on the facility will determine when a waitlist will begin.

Will non-resident members lose their memberships as the Club reaches its membership goals?

Non-residents who join NorthStone Country Club are guaranteed their place on the membership roster as long as their renewal is timely.

If I buy a membership, can I upgrade to another classification before my 12 months is up?

Yes, any membership can be upgraded during its term. To do so, just stop in to the Club membership office. You will be credited with the remaining pro-rated portion of the initial membership and will begin a new 12-month term with the upgrade.

Only one family member in my house plays golf. Can I buy a membership that gives me golf and my family non-golf access?

The Club offers the Executive and Family Sports memberships to achieve these objectives. The Executive membership includes unlimited golf with no greens fees for one family member while the full family enjoys Social-Fitness privileges. The Family Sports membership includes all areas of the Club for all family members. Annually, 24 rounds of golf with no green fees are also included although Family Sports Members are not limited to 24 rounds. Additional rounds may be played at the Sports Overage Fee.

Who owns the NorthStone Country Club?

NorthStone Country Club is currently owned and operated by the developer of the NorthStone community as a for-profit business entity. The members of the Club have no voting rights and no equity interest in the Club facilities, nor are they liable for Club debt or operating expenses.

What facilities are included in NorthStone Country Club?

In addition to the golf facility (a P. B. Dye designed 18 hole course, practice range, putting green with bunker, and teaching/club fitting center), the NorthStone Country Club facilities include a clubhouse with a 60 seating dining room, adults-only bar, full service kitchen, banquet room with seating for up to 250 (banquet room also converts into three smaller meeting rooms), a full service golf shop, club storage, locker rooms with shoe service, seven tennis courts, playground area, and pool facilities (Junior Olympic competition pool, adults-only pool, plunge pool with 3 water slides, splash pool, concession stand, tiki bar, and restrooms), and a 3000 sq. ft. fitness center complete with personal training, over 60 fitness classes each month, and a massage therapist.

Will I get a Club billing account as a Member?

All members of NorthStone Country Club are extended a monthly Member billing account with a credit card back-up.

What kind of operations and services can I expect at NorthStone Country Club?

NorthStone Country Club facilities and services will match or exceed the quality of any area club. A complete range of first class events and activities are offered on a year-round basis. The monthly Club calendar will list specific functions and offerings in golf, tennis, swimming, and dining, and will be detailed on the Club website. Recognizing the active lifestyles of our members, NorthStone Country Club will offer full menu service for social functions, along with providing take-out and NorthStone resident catering options. Member activities will focus on fostering friendships among a broad base of the membership.

Will you have pros to give instruction to the members?

NorthStone Country Club has an extensive instructional program in golf, tennis and swimming. PGA Golf Professionals are available for all levels of instruction including private lessons, clinics, mini-schools and junior programs. All professionals are trained club fitters with a state-of-the-art system on site. Tennis instruction is provided year-round.

Can I use my own cart or walk when I play golf at NorthStone?

Private golf carts are not allowed at NorthStone. Walking while playing golf (no pull carts) is allowed after 2:30 PM each day the Club is open. Certified juniors under the age of 16 may walk upon approval of the golf staff, and any golf member may walk and carry after 2:30 PM.

Does NorthStone require softspikes and is there a dress code?

Yes, NorthStone requires the use of approved softspikes on the golf course and practice facilities. The NorthStone dress code is traditional to most private clubs and does not allow T-shirts. Men are required to wear collared shirts. Denim is permitted in the clubhouse on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
