Men's Programs
Tuesday Night Men’s League
A two man team match play, best ball handicapped for 9 holes with 16 total teams. We play 3-3 hole matches worth 1 point per match with a bonus point for overall score. It is a season-long points race with an overall winner at the end.
Thursday Night Dog Fight
A fun, weekly 9 hole event where you can meet new members and create lasting friendships. All handicaps are welcome to enter the Dog Fight. Immediately following the last Dog Fight in September, we have a celebratory dinner for all players who have participated in 5 or more Dog Fights.
ROMEO'S
Standing for “Retired Old Men Enjoying Outdoor Sports,” the NorthStone ROMEOS are a self-governed golf group retired and semi-retired men that play during the week at NorthStone.
Group Golf Play
Billy D’s group is a competitive group of golfers who typically play a team game (A, B, C & D players) Tuesday through Friday from March until November. The group welcomes ALL players of all ages & handicaps. The group players handicaps range from scratch to 25.
The Carolinas Interclub
A team competition between participating CGA member clubs that runs from April to November. The matches are 12-man teams competing in four-ball match play format. Clubs play home and away matches against each opponent in their group.
Women's Golf Programs
The NorthStone Ladies 9 and 18 Holers
All levels of golfers are welcome to join. The group’s aim is to encourage women to play golf and join the group. There are no annual dues to participate. Ladies 9 Holers meets Wednesday evenings and Ladies 18 Holers meet Tuesday & Thursday Mornings.
Ladies Golf Events
There are a number of golf events for women throughout the year at NorthStone. Some highlights are the season opener, the ABCD Tournament, with a 4-player scramble format; the Ladies’ Club Championship with 36 holes stroke play; and the Stonheim Cup event with team match play.
The Women’s Foothills League
An organization of golf clubs in the area that hosts an event each month from April through November. Participants must be golf members at NorthStone.
The Ladies Lake League
An organization of golf clubs in the Lake Norman region that hosts an event each month from April through November. Golfers with an established USGA handicap index of 36.9 or lower who are current golf members at NorthStone are welcome to participate.
Couples Golf
NorthStone offers several 9 hole couples events throughout the year that meet Friday evenings. This is a great way to meet other couples that like to play golf. Why not stay for dinner and drinks after play?
Junior Golf
PGA Junior League Golf (PGA JLG)
Designed to better socialize the game for boys and girls, ages 17 and under. PGA JLG features team versus team competitions in structured leagues that provide a popular, less stressful scramble format as opposed to stroke-play competition.
NorthStone Junior Interclub Team
We are one of 6 private clubs located around the Lake Norman area that compete against each other throughout the summer months and into early Fall. This interclub team is designed to give juniors of all levels a place to play competitive golf both locally and in a comfortable environment.
PGA Junior Golf Camps
Open to both members and non-members, The PGA Junior Golf Camps at NorthStone Country Club will foster your child's love for golf whether they want to pick up a new skill or compete in tournament play. We teach golf's traditions. We teach its techniques. We just make it fun and do it in a way that lets kids be kids!
